Subject: New York Jets New Uniform Launch Party Invitation
Dear Mr. Cimini,
Considering your 27-year history of covering the New York Jets, I believe you and your readership will be thrilled to learn that the franchise will be launching a new set of home and away uniforms for the 2017 season. To celebrate the new look of the franchise, there will be a reveal party at the Jets Headquarters in Florham Park on June 8, 2017. With an eye for the future, these new uniforms will invigorate the franchise’s fan base and national appeal when the Jets step into MetLife Stadium with a fresh demeanor next season.
Current players that will be modeling the new home and away uniforms:
-
Brandon Marshall
-
Eric Decker
-
Leonard Williams
-
Nick Mangold
These four players will be available for interviews during the reception party, after the reveal. Additionally, all players on the current roster will be invited to the launch party. If you have any specific requests for other players that you would like to speak to, please do not hesitate to let me know and I’d be happy to arrange it.

Prominent star players in franchise history will also be in attendance, including:
-
Joe Namath
-
Wayne Chrebet
-
Vinny Testaverde
-
Chad Pennington
Owner Woody Johnson, general manager Mike Maccagnan and head coach Todd Bowles will speak at a press conference after the reception. Your commitment to covering the franchise over the years has made you one of the most respected reporters in these headquarters, and for that reason we would be happy to offer you the opening question of the press conference.
As we look to the future of the franchise, it will be will be remarkable to see past and current players mingling and reminiscing on their time as New York Jets. Refreshments and entertainment will be provided during the reception, courtesy of various MetLife Stadium vendors.
There will also be a shrine dedicated to previous Jets uniforms, from the navy blue and gold uniforms of the New York Titans to the classic green and white striped uniforms we are now saying farewell to.
There are a couple of different angles I think this story can head, and I think it would be great to incorporate a significant amount of visuals and multimedia for this layered story. I think it would be interesting to your readers to highlight the history of the Jets and their uniforms, and speak to former players about what their Jet playing days meant to them and their thoughts on the new uniforms.
You can also focus more on the future, with heavy emphasis on the details of the reveal party, current players’ thoughts on the new uniforms and what it means for the future of the franchise.
Please call, text or email me with any questions, concerns or suggestions you may have. I’d love to hear your thoughts and look forward to speaking with you soon. Thanks for your time.
